The Wisconsin Department of Transportation Library is a service-oriented facility serving the general public, WisDOT employees, students, consultants, transportation practitioners and other research-oriented professionals of others disciplines interested in the area of transportation. The WisDOT Library houses a specialized and technical research collection covering all facets of planning, engineering, construction, safety, maintenance and evaluation for all transportation modes--highways, pedestrian and bicycle, police science, motor vehicles, rail, transit, aeronautics and water resources. The Library collection also includes information on, environmental issues, geographic information systems, project and business management, quality improvement, computer training and employee wellness issues. The WisDOT Library is conveniently located in the first floor lobby of the Hill Farms State Transportation Building and offers computer terminals with Internet access, scanning, copying and faxing services to the general public as well as state employees.

What are the particular subject strengths of your collection?:
Transportation planning, engineering, forecasting, safety, as well as road construction and maintenance. The WisDOT Library also features significant collections in the area of police science, Wisconsin transportation history, environment, land use, business and project management, wellness issues and computer training.
