Washington, DC --- U.S. Representative Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-Palm Desert) tonight released the following statement regarding the President’s State of the Union address:
WASHINGTON, DC --- U.S. Representative Raul Ruiz, M.D. (D-Palm Desert) today joined House Republicans in supporting H.R. 444, the “Require a PLAN Act.” This legislation would require the President to submit a proposal to balance the federal budget. H.R. 444 passed the House by a margin of 253-167 with only 26 Democrats, including Rep. Ruiz, voting yes.
