Master Chief Jeff Patton

Master Chief Petty Officer Jeff Patton joined the Coast Guard in August 1986.  After graduating from basic training in Cape May, NJ he reported aboard USCGC IRONWOOD (WLB 297) in Kodiak, AK.  His following assignments took him to CG ANT Grand Haven, MI; CG Station Sturgeon Bay, WI; USCGC WHITE HOLLY (WLM 543) in New Orleans, LA; Coast Guard Academy Waterfront Branch in New London, CT; CG ANT Detroit, MI as Officer in Charge; CG Station Marquette, MI as Officer in Charge; USCGC CHENA (WLR 75409) in Hickman, KY as Officer in Charge; and CG Station Destin, FL as Officer in Charge.

In April 2010, Master Chief Patton assumed the duties of Command Master Chief for the Ninth Coast Guard District.

 Master Chief Patton is a graduate of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Academy Class 51, U. S. Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 58, and the Coast Guard Senior Enlisted Leadership Course Class 04-09.  He has earned an Associate Degree in Applied Marine Engineering and in Management from Coastline Community College.

Master Chief Patton's awards include four Coast Guard Commendation Medals with the Operational Distinguishing Device, one Commandant's Letter of Commendation Ribbon with the Operational Distinguishing Device, seven Coast Guard Good Conduct Medals, and numerous service and unit awards.  Master Chief Patton has earned the permanent Cutterman’s Pin, Coxswain Pin, Boat Forces Gold and Pewter Insignia, Officer in Charge Afloat Pin and Officer in Charge Ashore Pin.
