The Neurobiology of Sexual Assault: Implications for First Responders in Law Enforcement, Prosecution, and Victim Advocacy Dr. Rebecca Campbell, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology, Michigan State University

If you were not able to attend the seminar in person, you can now watch a recording, or access a transcript, of Dr. Campbell’s December 2012 seminar as part of the NIJ Research for the Real World series. She explains the underlying neurobiology of traumatic events, its emotional and physical manifestation, and how these processes can impact the investigation and prosecution of sexual assaults.
