Veterans Affairs - Not Your Typical Job Fair

With the unpredictable state of the economy, jobs can sometimes be hard to come by and veterans are finding it hard to hit the employment pavement as well. That's where the VA for Vets comes in. As part of the Joining Forces initiative, the Department of Veterans Affairs hosted a veteran-focused career fair and exposition in Washington D.C. The expo was aimed at bringing public and private sector companies together with highly trained, qualified veteran professionals looking to seek employment. From filling out applications to interviews to making and establishing connections and even extending tentative job offers, the VA for Vets job fair was designed to be productive and proactive toward getting veterans hired and in the work force.
