Tri-state Lawmakers Upset With EPA Restrictions on Coal Industry
Kentucky and Indiana rely heavily on coal but some fear the EPA's latest restrictions will drive up coal prices and eliminate thousands of Tristate jobs. Kentucky Representative Brett Guthrie and Indiana Representative Larry Bucshon want the public's involvement in limiting what they call the EPA's "over-stepping" reign.
Bucshon Visiting Evansville Students Tuesday
Indiana 8th District Congressman, Larry Bucshon, will be in the Tri-State today. Congressman Bucshon will be at McGary Middle School to speak with 8th grade students at 11:45 this morning.

Red Cross launches 'Heroes Drive' and fundraiser
Eighth District U.S. Rep. Larry Bucshon also commended the Red Cross during its opening event at the Old National Bank building in Downtown Evansville. Old National is one of the campaign's corporate sponsors. The Newburgh first-term Republican Congressman said all of the functions of the Red Cross are important, but he knows first hand how important the blood donation program is because of experience as a surgeon.
Economic recovery still years away?
Those numbers tended to moderate the enthusiasm of Indiana's 8th District Rep. Larry Bucshon, who said the time has come for President Obama "to provide leadership, not lip service, and finally focus on producing jobs for Americans in need."

Thursday, in Washington, DC, Brazil's Britt Aero was honored with a supplier award from GE Aviation; Indiana's Congressman Larry Bucshon and Congressman Todd Young were also on hand for the ceremony.
The Drug Shortage Crisis in America
Two Congressmen introduced bipartisan legislation to address prescription drug shortages last week. The Drug Shortage Prevention Act would create a ‘Critical Drug List’ that would identify drugs that are susceptible to shortage, and require the FDA to develop a system to notify the public if a medicine is added to the list.
