7th EducationUSA - Online College Courses

January 25, 2013 – PA Seoul kicked off the online education program called “OER/MOOCs” with a group of 77 Korean college students from 21 universities. Deputy Public Affairs Officer Alexei T. January 15, 2013 - A group of 30 Korean college students, recommended by Embassy Seoul’s Window On America partnership universities, actively engaged in the fifth EducationUSA roundtable discussion with the Northern Michigan University representative Miriam Moeller for an hour focused on the theme of U.S. higher educational opportunity and OPT/CPT for international student employment at the American Center Korea. November 14, 2012 - A group of 20 Korean college students, recommended by Embassy Seoul’s Window On America partnership universities, actively engaged in the International Virtual College Fair and EducationUSA advising session with American Center Korea’s staff for two hours focused on the theme of U.S. higher educational opportunity at the American Center Korea, U.S. Embassy Seoul. 4th EducationUSA - EducationUSA Roundtable

October 31, 2012 - U.S. Embassy Seoul’s American Center Korea organized the third EducationUSA roundtable discussion in association with guest speakers from Northern Michigan University, including the President, the Provost and the Trustee member. 20 Korean college students who are savvy in English and have imminent plan to study in the USA for higher education opportunity joined the one-hour, lively discussion and asked questions such as scholarship, assistantship, internship & career opportunities for international students. 3rd EdcuationUSA - Roundtable with Georgetown University

May 24, 2012 - U.S. Embassy Seoul’s American Center Korea organized the second EducationUSA event with a guest speaker from Georgetown University. 8 university students who are interested in studying master’s program in Asian Studies field participated in the two-hour long program including a presentation on “Georgetown University’s Asian Studies Program,” and an introduction to EducationUSA advising services. 2nd EducationUSA - Briefing

May 10, 2012 - 200 Korean students from Cheongju Sannam High School came to the American Center Korea and participated in a U.S. Embassy and ACK resources and services briefing by ACK staff. ACK Director Kim Su Nam presented on how U.S. Embassy Seoul is working together with the people of Korea, followed by a Q&A session. May 7, 2012 - U.S. Embassy Seoul’s American Center Korea organized the first EducationUSA event in celebration of the establishment of the EducationUSA Advising Service. 30 students from 8 universities partnering with the ACK through Window on America (WOA) program participated in the two-hour program including a presentation on “Education and Studying in the U.S.,” and an introduction to EducationUSA advising service.
