- Eligible product
- Red meat and poultry may be exported under special certification.
Documentation Requirements
- Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5--Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness.
- Free Sale Certificates. Nigeria requires "free sale" certificates from FSIS
and the plant management.
- Current FSIS policy is for FSIS form 9060-5 to represent the certificate of free
sale from the U.S. government. Contact the FSIS Technical Service Center for additional
information.
- The following statement should be typed on plant stationery and signed by a plant
official:
"It is hereby certified that the following goods were manufactured in the
United States of America in accordance with the law. Their sale in this country would not
constitute a contravention of such law."
Plants Eligible to Export
All federally inspected plants are eligible for export to Nigeria.
