Eligible/Ineligible Products
  1. Eligible Products
    1. Poultry and poultry products.
    2. Beef and beef products. Effective for beef and beef products derived from cattle slaughtered on or after May 5, 2009, all age restrictions and product restrictions have been removed.*

Documentation Requirements
  1. Poultry and poultry products must be accompanied by FSIS Form 9060-5, Meat and Poultry Export Certificate of Wholesomeness. The city and state location of the establishment that produced the poultry or poultry product and the following certification statement must be included in the Remarks section or as an FSIS letterhead certificate:

    "The meat is derived from birds which have been kept at a farm since they were hatched or for the past 21 days and in which there has been no evidence of notifiable avian influenza (NAI) in the past 21 days."
  2. Beef and beef products. Obtain FSIS Form 9060-5, Export Certificate of Wholesomeness and an FSIS letterhead certificate:*
    1. The United States complies with the conditions in the Terrestrial Animal Health Code of the OIE as a country that presents a Controlled Risk for bovine spongiform encephalopathy.

    2. The bovine meat and meat products were produced and handled in a manner which ensures that such products do not contain and are not contaminated with the following specified risk materials: the brain, skull, eyes, trigeminal ganglia, spinal cord, vertebral column (excluding the vertebrae of the tail, the transverse processes of the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae, and the wings of the sacrum) and dorsal root ganglia of cattle 30 months of age and older; and the tonsils and distal ileum of the small intestine of cattle regardless of age.
      Las carnes bovinas y los productos cárnicos fueron producidos y manejados en una manera que asegure que estos productos no contienen y no fueron contaminados con los materiales de riesgo específicos: cerebro, cráneo, ojos, ganglio trigémino, medula espinal, columna vertebral (excluyendo las vértebras de la cola, las protuberancias transversas de las vértebras torácicas y lumbares y las alas del sacro), y ganglios de la raíz dorsal de vacunos de 30 meses de edad o mas meses de edad y amígdalas e ilion distal de todas las edades.
    3. The method of stunning cattle does not include intracranial gas injection or the use of sharp instruments which could cut the medulla (pithing).

Plants Eligible to Export

All Federally inspection establishments are eligible to export.
