Best Practices Forum Provides Pathways to Success in the CFCNCA

The CFCNCA Best Practices Forum brought together federal workers, specifically Campaign Managers and Coordinators, who are well into the 2012 campaign season.  These campaign workers lead coordinated efforts to promote giving within their agencies and strengthen donor engagement and participation from senior management to administrative staff.

ELC engages a new generation of donors

Emerging Leadership Network members from the Environmental Protection Agency (pictured above) invited members of the Emerging Leadership Council for the CFCNCA to a recent social hour to share ideas and common goals for the future. It was a productive evening that promises positive outcomes for both groups and the Federal agencies represented.

When the time came to recruit and engage new federal donors  for the 2012 Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA), the Emerging Leadership Council (ELC) stepped up to the challenge.

The ELC, formerly known as the Young Donors Advisory Council (YDAC) began as a simple research project in 2011 when its creator, Cassie Grose, Marketing and Communications Manager for Global Impact, decided to establish focus groups, which aimed to determine how to engage first-time CFCNCA participants.

Communities suffered what many are saying is the most severe tropical storm in years; as a result of the storm, people found themselves with limited or no electricity, flooded streets, and severely damaged homes.
