The Offshore Technology Conference is the world's foremost event for the development of offshore resources in the fields of drilling, exploration, production, and environmental protection. Each year, OTC attracts more than 70,000 attendees from 110+ countries and 2,500 exhibiting companies. Attendance at OTC12 reached 89,400, the third highest in show history. Webinar briefing held November 14, 2012 by U.S. Department of Commerce's Bureau of Industry and Security Senior Licensing Officer Darrell Spires outlines upcoming reforms to U.S. export controls regulations that will bring numerous U.S. Department of State ITAR controlled products into BIS jurisdiction. Marine products to be affected include submersible vessels, oceanographic equipment and related articles, as well as surface vessels of war and special naval equipment. The Miami International Boat Show®, the United States' premier consumer boating sales event, will take place February 14–18, 2013.
