Mission:

Commanders are responsible to sustain Army personnel readiness by developing, implementing, and maintaining aggressive local Army Retention Programs. The mission of the Army Retention Program is to:

-   Obtain maximum command involvement.

-   Reenlist, on a long term basis, sufficient numbers of highly qualified Soldiers consistent with Army needs and assigned objectives.

-   Achieve and maintain Army force alignment.

-   Counsel transitioning Active Duty Soldiers on their options, opportunities and benefits of the Army National Guard, Army Reserves and the IRR.
