COL Patrick Hynes

Colonel Patrick J. Hynes is a native of New Providence, NJ. He graduated from West Point in 1991 and was commissioned as an Infantry second lieutenant. 

Colonel Hynes’ first assignment was with the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Kobbe, Panama where he served as a rifle Platoon Leader, Rifle Company Executive Officer, and Headquarters & Headquarters Company Executive Officer.  Colonel Hynes then served two tours in Korea, first as the Executive Officer for a Republic of Korea Army rifle company in the Joint Security Area, and later as the Assistant Operations Officer for the 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (Air Assault). Colonel Hynes was then assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division where he served as the Adjutant for 1st Brigade, and as a Rifle Company Commander in the 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment.  Following company command, he served as both a Rifle Platoon and Rifle Company Senior Observer-Controller at the Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, LA.

Colonel Hynes next served in Iraq as the C/J3, Deputy Chief of Current Operations for CJTF-7. In 2004 Colonel Hynes returned to the 82nd Airborne Division where he served as the Division G3 Chief of Operations, battalion Operations Officer in 2nd Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, Operations Officer, and later Executive Officer for the 1st Brigade, 82nd Airborne Division.  In May 2008, Colonel Hynes assumed command of the 1st Battalion, 325th Airborne Infantry Regiment. After command, COL Hynes served as the Deputy Executive Officer to COMISAF, and later as the Director of Operations, ISAF Joint Command.

Colonel Hynes’ combat deployments include two tours to Iraq, and two tours to Afghanistan.

Colonel Hynes holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Military Academy, and a M.S. in National Security and Resource Strategy from the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School.  Colonel Hynes’ awards and decorations include: the Bronze Star (2OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal (4OLC),  Joint Service Achievement  Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award (2OLC), National Defense Service Medal (1OLC),  Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign two stars, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon seventh award, NATO Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, and Ranger Tab.

His is married to the former Eleni Boussounis of Kalamata, Greece and they have two children, Lea and Ryan.

CSM Butler Kendrick 

 CSM Butler Kendrick

CSM Butler J. Kendrick Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1964 to Butler Sr. and Reatha Kendrick.  He enlisted in the Army on February 26 1985 as a Combat Engineer.  He conducted his Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. His assignments include Fort Hood, TX, Berlin, Germany, Fort Benning, GA, Fort Leonard Wood, MO, Schofield Barracks, HI, Fort Stewart, GA, and Fort Bragg, NC

CSM Kendrick’s staff and leadership positions include Team Leader, Squad Leader, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, Drill Sergeant Instructor.  He served as a 1SG of Charlie Company, 65th Engineer Battalion, Bravo Company, 10th Engineer Battalion, HHC, 10th Engineer Battalion, and also served as CSM of the 1ST STB, 82nd Airborne Division.  CSM Kendrick has completed all levels of military education within the NCOES and has also completed the NBC course, Airborne Course, Drill Sergeant Course, Master Fitness Course, the Instructor Trainer Course, Air Assault Course, Sapper Leader Course, Battle Staff Course, Jumpmaster Course and First Sergeant Course.  CSM Kendrick has completed his associate and bachelor’s degree.

His awards include the Bronze Star Medal (2OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (3OLC), Army Commendation Medal (5 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (5 OLC), Good Conduct Medal (8th award), Army of Occupation Medal, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star,  Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (3 BS) Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Drill Sergeant Badge, the Senior Parachutists Badge, Air Assault Badge, Sapper Leader Tab and Silver DeFluery Medal.

CSM Kendrick has been married for 27 years to his beautiful wife Kim, they have a son Shaleek and a daughter Janise.
