Federal Employment Data Exchange System (FEDES)

The Federal Employment Data Exchange System, or FEDES, is an initiative that provides information on federal employment to participating states to help them meet their reporting requirements. Quarterly data exchanges are conducted with three federal agencies: the Office of Personnel Management (OPM); the Department of Defense, Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC); and the U.S. Postal Service (USPS).

The Jacob France Institute is responsible for the technical operations of the initiative, while the Maryland Department of Labor Licensing and Regulation oversees the administrative management of FEDES. The initiative is funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration.  For additional information, please visit: http://www2.ubalt.edu/jfi/fedes/index.cfm
