EscapeMaker Local Food and Travel Expo: Does spring fever have you itching to get out of town? Plan your next vacation without blowing your eco-cred. Find out how while sampling locally sourced food at this day-long expo in downtown Brooklyn. Saturday, April 14, noon-5 p.m.

Family Art Project: Head to Wave Hill in the Bronx for a family friendly art activity inspired by the natural beauty of the surrounding gardens. Sunday, April 15, 10 a.m.

LowLine Park: Is New York City’s next park underground? Check out this exhibit for a proposed subterranean park in an abandoned trolley terminal on the lower east side. Learn about progressive solar technology and the reimaging of public space. Sunday-Friday through April 29, 12-6 p.m.
