The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) has been committed to advancing naval warfare technology ever since a 12-inch, towed tractor gun barked out our birth on October 16, 1918. Today, NSWCDD is still leading scientific and engineering efforts that help the Navy protect our nation.
We conduct basic research in all systems-related areas and pursue scientific thrusts that draw upon many disciplines, including biotechnology, chemistry, mathematics, laser and computer technology, chemical, mechanical, electrical and systems engineering, physics and computer science. Distinguished figures in history who have worked for us include physicists Albert Einstein and Edward Teller and computer pioneers Howard Aiken and Grace Hopper.
NSWCDD is eagerly anticipating the technical and engineering opportunities of the coming decades. Our future holds great promise as our dedicated scientists and engineers take on new, complex challenges, such as helping the Navy solve ballistic missile defense problems.
We are seeking bright, talented professionals who would like to join our team. We offer a lucrative package of benefits and a satisfying career that will count in the defense of our country.
