On December 22, 2008 the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistic (AT&L) approved the restructure of the Business, Cost Estimating and Financial Management Career Field to the Business Career Field. He directed that implementation guidance to include the PCDs and Certification Standards be promulgated by April 1, 2009. Attached is a copy of the signed Implementation Guidance, PCDs, and revised/new Certification Standards for both the Business Financial Management career track and the Business Cost Estimating career track. If you are a coster and wish to be moved from the "K" into the "P" position category description, it is recommended that you contact your component Director of Acquisition Career Management (DACM) office or Human Resource representative to request this change.
