B-1B Upgrade

A pod positioned under the fuselage of a B-1B bomber was the part of the focus of a test conducted Nov. 15 by the 419th Flight Test Squadron and Global Power Bomber Combined Test Force and the 337th Test and Evaluation Squadron, Dyess AFB, Texas. The test completed the Laptop Controlled Targeting Pod Phase II upgrade to the B-1. 419th FLTS demonstrates Sniper pod capability

A B-1B Lancer carries the Sniper pod on its belly as it flies over Edwards' skies during a flight test here. The 419th Flight Test Squadron testers recently concluded the initial development of the Sniper pod installed on a B-1B here recently.
