Sutter County

Congressman Garamendi is proud to represent all of Sutter County, which was established as one of California's original counties in 1850. Sutter County's western border is the Sacramento River, and its eastern border is the Feather River. Although the county is primarily flat agricultural land, it is home to a volcanic formation, the Sutter Buttes, nicknamed the "Smallest Mountain Range in the World." Sutter County's labor force is centered on retail trade and services, transportation and utilities, and educational and health services. Sutter County is also home to Beale Air Force Base, which carries out an Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission that is vital to America's national security.
