Briefly:

William McBride is the leader of the commodity cost and return estimation project, responsible for the annual production and publication of estimates for 15 major field crop and livestock commodities. He also has responsibilities for questionnaire and data development as part of the annual Agricultural Resource Management Survey (ARMS), and in a broad program of research emphasizing the farm adoption and impacts of new technologies and management practices.

Ph.D. and M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Tennessee; B.S. in Farm and Business Management from Purdue University
