Tuesday, April 23, 2013: Enforcement Coordinator Training

The morning session will provide a basic overview of the Department's worker safety and health, nuclear safety, and classified information security enforcement programs; the enforcement process; and the Department's expectations for identifying, evaluating, reporting, and correcting safety and classified information security regulatory noncompliances.

The afternoon session will consist of interactive, small-group discussions of worker safety and health, nuclear safety, and classified information security-related scenarios for attendees to evaluate for noncompliances and compare to Departmental noncompliance reporting expectations. Attendees will be able to attend sessions for multiple disciplines if desired.

Wednesday, April 24, 2013: Safety and Security Enforcement Workshop

A full day of presentations designed to provide information updates on the enforcement program and each of the three enforcement disciplines; perspectives on recent enforcement cases; results of Regulatory Assistance Reviews; and discussion of ongoing and emerging issues affecting the enforcement program and implementation process.

Thursday, April 25, 2013: Separate DOE/NNSA and EFCOG meetings

The Office of Enforcement and Oversight will conduct a half-day working meeting with DOE and NNSA Federal staff to discuss the current state of the Department's enforcement program and identify initiatives for improving operations.

The EFCOG Enforcement Coordination Working Group will conduct a full-day meeting for contractors to discuss working group activities and recent experiences from enforcement actions and assistance reviews.
