Pepper-spray Training

Airman 1st Class Weise of the 102nd Security Forces Suadron tries to find relief after being sprayed with pepper-spray as part of a security forces training event held on Otis Air National Guard Base, Mass. on January 9, 2011. Pepper-spray Training

Christopher Lafrance as part of a security forces training event held on Otis Air National Guard Base, Mass. on January 9, 2011. Security Forces airmen were sprayed with the pepper-spray so they are familiar with it's affects and can still perform their duties if they come in contact with it.

Fuel tank demolition

On Jan. 7, 2011, demolition of the fuel storage tanks at Otis Air National Guard Base, Mass., that once held JP-8 fuel in support of the fighter aircraft formerly stationed here, was started by Testa construction company. The fuel tanks were an icon of the flying era at Otis. Over the next several months, the tanks will be removed and the area will be returned to natural real property.
