Description

This module is designed to provide the learner with understanding of The DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process. In order to operate, each Department of Defense, or DoD, information system, must be certified and accredited. DoD information systems are certified and accredited using a standard set of activities defined within the Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process, or DIACAP.

Objectives

Upon completion of this module student will be able to:

Identify the DIACAP's purpose and its importance to protecting DoD information and information systems

Identify the interrelationship of the DIACAP and its implementations tools

Explain DIACAP Enterprise Governance

Identify DoD Component responsibilities for DIACAP implementation

Identify the key players involved in DIACAP execution

Identify the contents of the DIACAP package

Identify the DIACAP activities

Identify the Tasks that occur within each DIACAP activities

Identify how to access the resources and tools needed to execute each step within each DIACAP activity
