Cultural Affairs at U.S. Embassy Ottawa administers and coordinates a wide range of educational and cultural exchange programs with the seven U.S. Consulates in Canada to bring about greater understanding between the people of the United States and Canada.

Some of these programs are:  International Visitors Leadership Program (Canadians traveling to the U.S. to meet with their counterparts); U.S. Speakers and Digital Video Conferences (Americans speaking on issues of mutual concern to the U.S. and Canada); Exhibits (poster shows or traveling exhibits being displayed in Canada); American Studies (to promote American Studies in Canadian universities); Embassy briefings (for American or Canadian groups wishing to learn more about the workings of an Embassy and/or Canada-U.S. Relations).

We continuously strive to reach diverse audiences in order to reflect the multi-cultural make-up of both nations as well as connecting with, among other groups, youth, students, academics, practitioners, activists, artists, scientists, and public servants.
