Traumatic Injury Protection under the Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) Programs

The purpose is to provide financial assistance to Service members during their recovery period from a serious traumatic injury. TSGLI is not disability compensation and has no effect on entitlement for compensation and pension benefits. It is an insurance benefit ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 based on 45 categories of injuries.
