Location: Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida
Mission: The 325th Fighter Wing Associate Unit (325FW AU) is the premier Air National Guard (ANG) fighter associate unit, training active-duty and ANG personnel for the F-15 and F-22 Air Dominance Role. The associate unit provides experienced F-15 and F-22 instructor pilots that make up more than 25 percent of the 325FWs instructor manning, responsible for a like percentage of more than 13,000 training sorties and 17,000 plus flying hours annually. Associate unit instructors oversee all aspects of training for Formal Training Unit pilots covering eleven different formal syllabi. The combination Active Guard/Reserve and Drill Status Guard forces are completely integrated into all aspects of the 2nd, 43rd, and 95th Fighter Squadrons, as well as the 325th Operations Support Squadron, subordinate units of the 325FW. In the event of hostilities, the unit can be mobilized to offset the anticipated loss of experienced active duty pilots for AETC F-15 and F-22 pilot training. |
