Laparoscopic Surgery
The General Surgery Service at Eisenhower Army Medical Center is dedicated to advancing its services with full incorporation of minimally invasive surgical procedures in all cases where appropriate. Our surgical staff provide laparoscopic gallbladder and appendix removal, laparoscopic ventral (abdominal) and inguinal hernia repair, as well as various laparoscopic diagnostic procedures. Advanced laparoscopic techniques are also offered for foregut and solid organ disorders to include laparoscopic liver, pancreas, and adrenal surgery. Also, laparoscopic surgeries for gastroesophageal reflux disease and esophageal motility disorders are offered.
Single incision laparoscopic surgery provides the minimally invasive approach to certain disease processes with only 1 incision on the abdomen. There are multiple surgeons at Eisenhower Army Medical Center trained in this technique, allowing for the almost scar-less removal of the gallbladder or appendix.
