Endocrine Disorders
The General Surgery Service and the Endocrinology Service offer the full spectrum of care in the surgical treatment of endocrine diseases.
Thyroid Disease: The surgical management of Graves’ Disease, thyroid nodules, goiters and thyroid cancers are offered. Utilizing the latest technologies in neuromuscular monitoring, vascular sealing devices and postoperative care, thyroid surgery is performed on a same-day or overnight basis. The surgeons are knowledgeable in all aspects of neck surgery in cases where patients may have more advanced thyroid cancer.
Parathyroid Disease: A multidisciplinary approach is utilized in the surgical management of all parathyroid disorders, both benign and malignant.
Adrenal Disease: Open and laparoscopic approaches are utilized for the removal of adrenal glands for benign tumors and/or cancer.
