The Gastroenterology Service provides a full array of consultative evaluations for patients with digestive and liver diseases. The service is staffed by three experienced gastroenterologists, two licensed PAs, two registered nurses and two LPNs.

Our diagnostic and therapeutic services are supported by "state-of-the-art" endoscopic, computer and motility equipment. The Gastroenterology Service is capable of supporting most types of tertiary care of patients with digestive and liver diseases.

Generally, the GI Service will focus care on the adult population. Patient age range 16 years to 90+ years.

The Gastroenterology Service is a very active clinical service with over 8,000 patient contacts per year. The GI Service performs over 2,400 sedated endoscopic procedures each year. The GI service evaluates a wide range of digestive and liver problems. Patients with these conditions may benefit from available tests and treatment to include: EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopy, esophageal motility, esophageal dilation, ambulatory pH monitoring, endoscopic ultrasound, liver biopsy, tumor removal, etc.
