17th TRW Staff Judge Advocate releases April Article 15 and Discharge Actions

5/23/2011 - GOODFELLOW AIR FORCE BASE, Texas -- A 17th Communications Squadron senior airman received non-judicial punishment for being absent from their unit. Punishment consisted of suspended reduction to the grade of Airman, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 17th CS senior airman received non-judicial punishment for being disrespectful to a non-commissioned officer and underage drinking. Punishment consisted of a suspended reduction to the grade of airman first class, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 311th Training Squadron airman 1st class received non-judicial punishment for using marijuana. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of Airman and a reprimand.
A 315th Training Squadron airman 1st class received non-judicial punishment for failing to obey a lawful order; dereliction of duty; and signing a false official record. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 15 days, 10 days suspended extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 315th TRS airman 1st class received non-judicial punishment for dereliction of duty, and making a false official statement. Punishment consisted of suspended reduction to the grade of airman, forfeiture of $300 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 25 days, 25 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 315th TRS airman 1st class received non-judicial punishment for being drunk on duty. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of airman, suspended forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days, 30 days extra duty with 10 days suspended, and a reprimand.
A 315th TRS airman 1st class received non-judicial for failing to report to duty. Punishment consisted of a reduction in grade to airman, restriction to base for 25 days, 25 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 315th TRS airman 1st class received non-judicial punishment for underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Punishment consisted of a reduction to the grade to airman, restriction to base for 20 days, 20 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
A 316th Training Squadron airman received non-judicial punishment for failing to obey a lawful general regulation, and for larceny. Punishment consisted of reduction to the grade of airman basic, suspended forfeiture of $250 pay per month for two months, restriction to base for 30 days, 30 days extra duty, and a reprimand.
In April, thirteen 17th Training Wing Airmen were discharged.
- Three Airmen from 311th TRS, one Airman from 312th Training Squadron, two Airmen from 314th TRS, and three Airmen from 315th TRS were discharged for unsatisfactory performance.
- One Airman from 17th TRW and one Airman from 315th TRS were discharged for minor disciplinary infractions.
- One Airman from 315th TRS and one Airman from 316th TRS were discharged for drug abuse.
