The ISTI conducts summer institutes in strategic areas to LANL.
CSCNSI Student Project Wins Graph 500 Awards
In the Summer of 2011, a team of LANL HPC summer school students, who participated in the Computer System, Cluster, and Networking Summer Institute under the direction of LANL Technical Mentor Dr. HB Chen, used the reference benchmark code from the Graph 500 to conduct a sequence of testing cases using the Summer Institute's IBM Big-memory test bed. The team submitted its results to the Graph 500 Committee at SC11. On Nov. 15th 2011, the Graph 500 officially certified the testing results, placing the team's results at #28 and #34 in the new Graph 500 list.
