This is to inform you that
Commitment 212 of the Implementation Plan (IP) for the Defense Nuclear
Facilities Safety Board Recommendation 2000-1 Revision 2, Stabilization and Storage
of Nuclear Material, has
been completed.
Commitment 212 was to complete
stabilization and packaging of all plutonium at the Savannah River Site (SRS)
to DOE-STD-3013. �SRS completed
stabilization and packaging of all applicable pre-existing plutonium metals and
oxides on January 31, 2005, eleven months ahead of the December 2005 commitment
identified in the IP.
