Description
Advanced Concepts and Skills for Requirements Management studies the functions of requirements managers and of their supervisors. RQM 310 begins by reviewing the prerequisite material, Capability-Based Assessments (CBAs), and developing requirements. The course continues by examining the Requirements Manager’s interactions with the Defense Acquisition System (DAS), within the Joint Capabilities Integration Development System (JCIDS), and with Functional Capability Boards (FCBs).
Objectives
Professionals who successfully complete this course will be able to:
  • Explain the CBA process within JCIDS;
  • Critique Key Performance Parameters (KPPs) for clarity, achievability, and resourcing;
  • Evaluate examples of requirements creep;
  • Select situations that call for a Rapid Response;
  • Analyze the elements of the joint staff rapid validation and resourcing process;
  • Interact with the Defense Acquisition System (DAS) and the other elements of JCIDS more effectively.
