12/1/2011 - MISAWA AIR BASE, Japan -- The world-renowned Harlem Globetrotters entertained U.S. troops here Nov. 30, bringing a slice of home to the Misawa community during their 11th annual holiday tour of international U.S. military bases.

The two-hour show brought smiles and laughter to more than 500 Misawa Air Base residents who filled Edgren High School's gymnasium.

This event was made possible by Armed Forces Entertainment and Navy Entertainment, and featured smooth moves, slam dunks, comedy and appearances by mascots "Globie" and "Big G."

"We are not about millions of dollars," said Buckets Blakes, member of the Harlem Globetrotters. "We are about millions of smiles."
