CONNECTION PROBLEMS

Dear Visitors: If you are experiencing a connection problem when trying to apply for an opportunity at Volunteer.gov/gov, it is most likely because your security settings in your web browser are not compatible with the required security for Volunteer.gov/gov. As a Federal Government Portal, we are required to protect your privacy when you are applying for a position on Volunteer.gov/gov. You can easily fix your web browser settings at apply online at Volunteer.gov/gov by following the instructions below:

WEB BROWSER FIX:
  1. Go to your web browser menu
  2. Click on your Tools and then Internet Options and then Advanced
  3. Scroll down the list towards the bottom and where you see the Security Section; make sure that Use TLS 1.0 is checked.
  4. Save/Apply your changes
  5. Close all your web browser windows, and then open your web browser again. To test if your changes are successful, you can try to load this page: https://www.volunteer.gov/gov.

Once you complete the above, you should be able to view all secure pages on Volunteer.gov.
