Providing Hope to Crime Victims

The Oregon Crime Victims Law Center (OCVLC) is a non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization that advocates for crime victims to ensure that they are treated as integral parts of the criminal justice system.

We do this by providing:

  • no-cost direct legal representation to help crime victims' assert their legal rights,
  • advocacy and social-service referrals,
  • trainings regarding crime victims' rights to the public and to agencies and organizations whose employees and agents interact with crime victims.

Timing is everything!

Some of a crime victim’s legal rights are enforceable only if they are requested in advance. In addition, the violation of some rights cannot be remedied if the violation is not reported promptly.
