The day marks the one-year anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake and subsequent tsunami, which claimed the lives of more than 16,000 people and left more than 3,000 people uncounted for. Roughly 2,670 individuals, many of whom volunteered on multiple occasions, provided roughly 40,570 hours of help during Misawa Helps relief efforts.
