11/8/2012 - U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Charles Barkley Jr., 13th Aircraft Maintenance Unit dedicated crew chief, helps buckle Maj. Ryan Wartman, 14th Fighter Squadron pilot, into the seat of an F-16 Fighting Falcon, Nov. 7, 2012 at Misawa Air Base, Japan. Wartman test flew the last jet of the wing’s F-16 fleet to receive full upgrades. Upgrades include a new internal navigation system, avionics program and an on-board oxygen generating system, which will help increase the wing’s operational capability and improve Pacific Theater security. 11/8/2012 - The last F-16 Fighting Falcon from the 35th Fighter Wing to receive full upgrades takes off Nov. 7, 2012 at Misawa Air Base, Japan. The 35th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron spent the past year configuring the wing’s entire F-16 fleet with the latest war-fighting capabilities, which include a new internal navigation system, avionics program and an on-board oxygen generating system.
