From the Heartland to the Fleet, the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Contracting Division is dedicated to providing best value contract support needed to meet Department of Defense (DOD) requirements into the 21st century. The NSWC Contracting Division is one of the Navy's premier unlimited contracting offices capable of handling all aspects of the acquisition process.
What makes us a premier contracting office? We are in full partnership with industry, academia, and other Government activities. We are automated. We have expertise to execute the full spectrum of contracting whether the requirement is for supplies, engineering services or Information Technology. Research and Development are accomplished using such vehicles as Technology Investment Agreements (TIAs), Grants, Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADA), and Broad Agency Announcements (BAA). We have vast technical expertise and world class capabilities for design, development, prototype, test, and repair. Our staff can do it all while maintaining the public's trust and fulfilling public policy objectives.
Further, we are governed by a set of guiding principles that insure i) the right products and services are delivered to our ultimate customer, whether the SERVICE MEMBER IS A SAILOR, MARINE, SOLDIER OR AVIATOR, ii) maximum innovation of product line, iii) maintaining open, fair and cooperative relationships with all our partners, iv) listening, understanding and responding to customers' needs, v) treating all people with respect in a safe and efficient work environment and recognizing their accomplishments, vi) seeking continuous improvement for our customers, employees and in our business practices, and vii) operating the Department with emphasis on integrity, excellence in our work, employee development and clear DELEGATED AUTHORITY.
