MAKS is one of the premier events of its type in the world and Department of Defense participation demonstrates the United States commitment to international security, promotes international cooperation, and contributes to U.S. foreign policy objectives. The U.S. Air Force has a KC-10 Extender, two F-16C Fighting Falcons, two A-10 Thunderbolt IIs, one F-15E Strike Eagle, one B-52 Stratotanker, C-130J Super Hercules and C-5M Galaxy static displays for the show.
