Retiree Council Website.
This Website is for the use of current Council members and alumni of the Secretary's Retiree Council.
The Secretary of the Navy established the Retiree Council to consider issues of significant importance to retired military personnel and their family members, to facilitate interaction between Department of Navy leadership and the Navy and Marine Corps retired community, and to facilitate participation in other aspects of the Retired Activities Program.
The Council may review the effectiveness of current programs and policies affecting retirees and may make recommendations concerning improvements to privileges, benefits, assistance to retirees, quality of life, and any other matters relating to retired personnel.
The Retiree Council, established by the Secretary of the Navy, considers issues of significant importance to the Navy and Marine Corps retired Community. SECNAV Instruction 5420.169J details Council membership and responsibilities and broadly empowers the Council to make recommendations on any matter relating to retired personnel.
