What Makes Supervision Work: Recommendations from the Home Visiting Field

Overview

The needs of supervisors and of home visitors were identified by six focus group sessions sponsored by the Home Visiting Forum, a national task group. The research report is designed for use in staff meetings or in training workshops with home visitors and/or supervisors. Common elements for both supervisors and home visitors include: supportive management; training and professional development; structure and communication; and evaluation.
