Facility Maintenance Electrician

The Embassy of the United States of America in Wellington is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Electrician.

If you are a professional who is driven, flexible and enjoy working in a busy environment, then this position is for you! Working in an organization with very low employee turnover, this stable, secure maintenance technician position is a permanent, full-time vacancy. The Electrician will directly report to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor. Your primary responsibility is to perform all installation, maintenance and repair of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using acceptable methods and practices established by industry standards on U.S. Embassy properties. Assigned as the lead technician on electrical work orders you will also be required to perform other basic facility maintenance services for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the Facility Maintenance section.

Economic and Science Advisor

The Embassy of the United States of America in Wellington is seeking a long-term Economic and Science Advisor to support the Embassy’s Political/Economic Section.
If you are a professional who is driven, flexible and enjoy working in a busy environment, then this position is for you! Working in an organization with very low employee turnover, this stable, secure advisory position is a permanent, full-time vacancy. Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Economic Officer, the Economic and Science Advisor has responsibility for providing reporting, research, and analysis on economic, trade, scientific and health issues of interest to the Embassy, contributing to congressionally mandated reports, and building and maintaining external relationships. The incumbent also has responsibility for handling inquiries on U.S.-NZ relations, political and economic issues, and assist in the drafting of speeches and social media posts.

The Embassy of the United States of America in New Zealand invites applications for a full-time Computer Management Assistant position at the Consulate General in Auckland.
If you are a professional who is driven, flexible and enjoy working in a busy environment, then this position is for you! Working in an organization with very low employee turnover, this stable, secure position is a permanent, full-time vacancy. The Computer Management Assistant provides a wide range of hardware, software and other Information Technology (IT) support to six U. S. Foreign Service Officers, 25 Locally Employed Staff (LES), and 3 local guards. S/he reports directly to the Computer Systems Manager, and the section as a whole reports to the Management Officer at the Consulate General.
