Non-medical requirements for disability

I applied for Social Security disability benefits and received a letter that says I meet the medical requirements, but Social Security will review the non-medical requirements of my claim.  What are non-medical requirements?

Non-medical requirements for Social Security disability benefits include:

  • Proof of age;
  • Employment;
  • Marital status; or
  • Social Security coverage information.
