Colonel Sheila A. Bryant

Colonel Sheila A. Bryant graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from the University of North Carolina – Pembroke (formerly Pembroke State University) where she received her commission in 1988 through the Army ROTC program.

Colonel Bryant’s assignments include: Ordnance Company (Ammo) Platoon Leader and Company Operations Officer, 144th Ordnance Company, Germany; Company Commander, HHC 6th Ordnance Battalion, Korea; Observer Controller, Joint Readiness Training Center, Fort Polk, Louisiana; Maintenance Officer for Special Operations Forces and Brigade S1 for Special Operations Support Command (Airborne), United States Army Special Operations Command, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Secretary to General Staff and Group S3, 1st Corps Support Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Brigade Support Operations Officer, 82D Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Division Chief, Liaison Officer to Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, and Deputy Director Combined Media Processing Center-Qatar, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, District of Columbia; Battalion Commander, 83rd Ordnance Battalion, Japan; and Commander, Defense Logistics Agency Pacific, Hawaii.

Colonel Bryant deployed various times throughout her career; serving as an Operations Officer, 144th Ordnance Company, Desert Shield/Desert Storm; Brigade Support Operations Officer, Operation Iraqi Freedom, 407th Forward Support Battalion, 82D Airborne Division; Liaison Officer to the J2 Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, and Deputy Director for Combined Media Processing Center-Qatar, Defense Intelligence Agency; and to Diego Garcia as the Task Force Commander in support of the 5/2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team’s movement of equipment into Afghanistan.

Joint duty assignments include duty in the Defense Intelligence Agency as Division Chief for Military Forces Analysis, Liaison Officer to the J2 Combined Forces Command-Afghanistan, Deputy Commander for Combined Media Processing Center – Qatar, and Commander Defense Logistics Agency Pacific.

Colonel Bryant recently graduated from the Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Bryant is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Combined Arms and Services Staff College, United States Army Command and General Staff College, and Senior Service College. She earned her Master of Science degree from Central Michigan University.

Colonel Bryant’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism-Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism-Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Parachutist Badge, and Combat Action Badge.
