Crapo to Attend BSU Game, Discuss Rail Jobs

Joins in farewell event for Idaho troops, helps open Aberdeen health clinic

Washington, D.C. – Idaho Senator Mike Crapo will join thousands of Idahoans Monday when he travels to FedEx field outside Washington, D.C. to watch Boise State University’s football team take on Virginia Tech. Following the game, he will return to Idaho for a series of events, including attending the Eastern Idaho State Fair, discussing rail manufacturing technology and jobs at Boise-based Motive Power and federal funding and biomass projects with county leaders from Adams County and Washington County.

Crapo’s schedule for September 6th through the 10th includes (all times local):

Monday, September 6:

8:00 p.m. Landover, MD Attends Boise State-Virginia Tech football game, FedEx Field.

Wednesday, September 8:

10: 45 a.m. Blackfoot Visits with attendees at the Eastern Idaho State Fair.

Noon Blackfoot Speaks to the Blackfoot Chamber of Commerce,
Shilling House Center, 214 S. University Avenue.

2:45 p.m. Aberdeen Attends and speaks at ribbon-cutting ceremony opening the
Aberdeen Health West Clinic, 330 N. Main.

Thursday, September 9:

10:30 a.m. Fort Hall Tours the new Shoshone-Bannock Tribal Justice Center,
Corner of Agency and Mission Roads.

11:15 a.m. Fort Hall Leads Reach Out and Read Event for National Literacy Day,
Participates in book distribution for children. At the Indian
Health Center, Mission Road.

4:00 p.m. Boise Attends farewell picnic and concert event for members of the
Idaho National Guard’s 116th Calvary Unit headed to Iraq.
Gowen Field, Parade Grounds.

Friday, September 10:

10:45 a.m. Boise Joins Motive Power, Idaho Power, Mayor Dave Bieter and Idaho
Commerce Director Don Dietrich to note new jobs and technology.
At Motive Power’s Boise Headquarters, 4600 Apple Street.
Tour of facility to follow.

2:30 p.m. Weiser Meets with Washington County Commissioners to discuss
Secure Rural Schools funding, flood repairs and other issues.
At the Washington County Courthouse, 256 East Court.

3:15 p.m. Weiser Meets with Adams County Commissioners, Council School
District leadership and Payette National Forest officials regarding
Biomass projects.

5:30 p.m. Boise Attends a BBQ in honor of Basque Culture sponsored by the
Cenarrusa Foundation and Pete and Freda Cenarrusa.
Basque Block, 6th and Grove.
