About the 5th District
From quaint New England suburbs to bustling beach-front towns, Massachusetts’ fifth Congressional district is diverse and exciting.
Located north and west of Boston, our District has a long and storied history. Its towns were first settled by some of the earliest Europeans to come to North America. Later, it became central to the birth of our nation. We are home to grounds of the Battle of Lexington, where the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired. Paul Revere rode through our streets to warn that the British were coming! As a result, the 5th District is home to a many great historical landmarks and cultural attractions today.
