WASHINGTON – Today, the House Agriculture Committee approved its oversight plan for the 113th Congress. The rules of the U.S. House of Representatives require each committee to adopt an oversight plan and submit it to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Committee on House Administration by February 15. The oversight plan sets forth the agenda of the Committee during this Congress. It also highlights key policy issues in the Committee's jurisdiction that will be examined to make certain programs are running efficiently and responsibly.
"Our oversight plan for this Congress is comprehensive, balanced, and reflects the bipartisan nature in which this Committee operates. We look forward to working with our colleagues on these important issues," said Chairman Frank Lucas and Ranking Member Collin Peterson.
