2.0 Site Status Summary
Operated as RocketDyne Santa Susanna Field Lab from the early 1950's. In the 1980's decommissioning activities began. The site includes plutonium based batteries and reactors that were used in outer space. The vast majority of the site is under DOE responsibility. The state portion is now a single building.
