Plastic Surgery Clinic
Point of Contact: (910) 907-6624
Womack Army Medical Center Plastic Surgery Clinic performs medically necessary procedures and limited cosmetic surgery for Active Duty, Retirees and their eligible dependents.
We are currently serving an increasing number of injured patients returning from deployments, as well as receiving a high volume of consultations for TriCare covered procedures and reconstructive services.
The definition of a medically necessary procedure is: to restore function, correct a serious birth defect, restore body form after a serious injury, revision of disfiguring and extensive scars, or after a medically necessary mastectomy. All Plastic Surgery procedures that are deemed cosmetic will incur a cost for the surgery. Certain cosmetic procedures may require the patient to meet the Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or below. Prices are determined after the patient’s initial Plastic Surgery consultation. Prices are determined by the Womack Treasury Department.
The first step to be considered for Plastic Surgery at Womack Army Medical Center is to make an appointment with your PCM (Primary Care Manager). Explain to your PCM that you are interested in Plastic Surgery and what procedure you are requesting. At that time your PCM will enter a referral in the system.
Once the referral is submitted, it will be reviewed by the Plastic Surgery service. Please allow at least 72 business hours from the date the referral was submitted for a disposition. The patient will then call (910) 907-6624 regarding the referral disposition.
